Apostille for your Moroccan documents for the use abroad
As Morocco joined The Hague Apostille Convention in 2015 you no longer have to get your documents legalised after having them authenticated with an apostille stamp. The apostille is a certificate issued in order to ensure the authenticity of documents abroad. This is part of The Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents.
The apostille stamp, which you will receive at the Department for Foreign Affairs and Trade, is generally enough for Irish documents to be recognized and accepted in Morocco now.
Notarisation of your Irish documents for the use abroad
In some cases, your documents will need to be notarised before they can be submitted for the apostille stamp. Notarisation means that a Public Notary needs to sign and stamp the documents in question before they can receive an apostille stamp.
We can help you through the whole process and as mentioned before the only thing you need to do is to submit your documents to us and we will do the rest and also answer any questions you may have.
After we legalised your Irish documents for the use in Morocco you can pick them up in one of our offices in Cork or Dublin or we can send them to you via registered post.
