Document Attestation For Use In China

27 April 2023

What is Consular Legalization

When presenting your documents for the use in China for both working, study or personal reason you need to satisfy Chinese Authorities that the documents are original, not amended, up to date and authentic.

There are number of steps involved in the process from requesting original document, ensuring it is properly stamped and signed, often verifying authenticity of the document by the independent Notary public or witnessing your signature by a notary on documents such as power of attorney or some business documents. Then the next step would be legalizing original or notarized document by a Ministry of Foreign Affairs via Apostille stamp.

This is a final step of legalizing documents in the country of origin.
