Apostillisation of a document copy
In the majority of cases, issuance of an Apostille stamp is carried out on document copies, certified by a notary (these may be personal document copies: birth, death, wedding, divorce certificates, diplomas, other certificates, etc., as well as copies of legal entity incorporation documents - statutes, statutory agreements, Tax Authority Registration Certificates, etc., as well as many other documents) or documents prepared by a notary (for example, power of attorney, child travel consent, etc.).

Apostillisation of original documents
In addition, an Apostille stamp may be put on the original documents issued by various government authorities. In the territory of the State, for example, an "Apostille" stamp on original educational documents is issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The customer should send in a scan or clear photo of their document(s) and the purpose for their enquiry. If you have a smart phone, download a scanning app (Scannable) or use the camera to take a photo. Once we receive the document we can quickly quote you and advise you on how to move forward. The first step is a quick review of the type of legalisation needed and then we can recommend the following steps depending on your needs: translation, notarisation, legalization of document by the embassy of the country that issued it, or legalisation by apostille which must be done by the issuing country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Because of our presence in numerous countries around the world, as well as our partnership with other international agencies, we have the capabilities to carry out whatever is necessary.
Is translation necessary?
In most countries, with few exceptions, there exists a universal rule - the authorities take into consideration only the documents issued in the official language of their country. This means that the translation of the document is required in any case.
There are a couple options for the legalization of the translation of the document. The first option is that the document can be translated beforehand so that it can be legalized along with the original document in the origin country. The second option is to have our international offices or partner companies in the destination country translate and certify the document. Because the certification of the Translators Statement is done in the destination country, it does not require foreign legalization (though the original still does), and is therefore usually a cheaper option.
